Gilwon Yoon received his B.S. degree from Seoul National University, and his M.S and Ph.D degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. His research interests include Electronic Circuits, Medical Electronics (Biosignal measurement, Medical Devices) Human computer interface, Biomedical optics and spectroscopy.
He served as a professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Seoul National University of Science and Technology for many years and is currently an Honorary Professor. He has also worked as a researcher at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology in Suwon, Korea; the Dixon Laser Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) in Lille, France; and the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) in Daejeon, Korea.
He was a visiting professor at the University of California, Irvine, USA, in 2015 and at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, USA, in 2008.
