Gilwon Yoon received the BS degree from Seoul National University, Seoul, KOREA. He received his MS and PhD degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas, USA.
He has been a professor at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul, Korea and is currently an honorary professor. He worked as Researcher at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology in Suwon, Korea. He worked also at Dixon Utah Laser Institute, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), Lille, France; Agency Defense Development, Dajeon, KOREA.
He was a visiting professor at University of California at Irvine, CA in 2015 and at University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2008.
