The AI Industry–Academia Collaboration & Curriculum Integration Symposium was held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Songdo Central Park Hotel. The event was co-hosted by SUNY Korea and the Inha University Office of Industry–Academic Cooperation, with support from the Incheon Metropolitan Government’s I-RISE program.
The event brought together faculty members and industry professionals to explore collaborative strategies for advancing AI education and workforce development in the region. Five professors from the Computer Science department presented SUNY Korea’s vision for AI, highlighting research strengths in on-device AI, machine learning and deep learning, intelligent transportation systems, and human-centered AI.
More than just a networking session, the symposium aimed to build a bridge between academia and industry by identifying current demand for AI technologies and talent, integrating industry needs into academic curricula, and establishing practical models for internships and field training. The program featured an overview of SUNY Korea’s AI research ecosystem, presentations led by CS professors, an industry panel discussion on workforce trends, and an open discussion session on designing industry-linked AI curricula and internship opportunities.
