SUNY Korea celebrated the completion of its facility renovation project on September 14th, 2026, with a ceremony held on the fourth floor of Building C. The event brought together students, faculty, staff, university leadership, and visitors.

The SUNY Korea Facility Renovation Project represents a multi-facility, three-year initiative aimed at revitalizing core academic and student service spaces across campus, including the SUNY Korea Library, classrooms, and the fourth floor corridor-style area. The project reflects the university’s continued commitment to creating an improved campus environment that supports academic excellence, student experience, and institutional growth.

The ceremony began with a video presentation highlighting renovations to the fourth floor, the SUNY Korea Library, and the basement of Academic Building A. SUNY Korea’s President Arthur H. Lee then shared remarks on the university's growth and its newly renovated spaces. The event also featured presentations from FBM Professor Hyeseon Kim, FIT Students, Byun Ju Young, CEO of IGC, and Andrew Park, President of the Undergraduate Student Council.

Following the presentations, Director Kwon and the Facilities Team led a VIP tour of the renovated facilities. The event concluded with lunch, refreshments, souvenirs, and networking at the SUNY Korea Lounge.

The completion of the renovations marks another step in SUNY Korea's continued efforts to improve the spaces where students, faculty, and staff study, work, and connect. With these spaces now renewed, the campus looks ahead to the students, ideas, and memories that will fill them in the years to come.
